The new 9th generation iPad 10.2 (2021) doesn't boast any new ground breaking features from previous versions, in fact it is identical in size and shape to the 2020 & 2019 versions. For some it is considered a design classic so most people will not be dismayed by this news. It does however get a chipset refresh, a new front facing camera and tweaks with the display. It's considered a capable entry level tablet, with few frills.

The new iPad battery is a 8557mAh battery. Although Apple has officially stated the battery life to be between 9-10 hours (depending on use) some users have reported that when tested from fully charged it can provide approximately 12 hours of battery regardless of whether you are continuously watching a video or browsing the web. Charging is another important factor to take into consideration and this particular iPad is an improvement on previous models and charges faster than the 2018 iPad Pro - being fully charged within 2 hours and 45 minutes.

The new iPad is set up with iPad OS 15 which exceeds expectations for the new iPad with now more features than ever.  One feature being slide over and split screen view option for multitasking on several apps. Facetime friends and family whilst still watching your film or listening to music. Use share play to watch along with friends regardless of distance.

Fast Wi-Fi allows you to download files, stream films, upload content, work from home or on the go. Or with Gigabit-class LTE you can connect even when you can’t access Wi-Fi.

In addition, the 12mp Ultra-Wide front camera has improved quality for better photos. The 8mp Wide camera on the back of the iPad not only takes sharp vivid images with improved autofocus but allows you to scan documents and use immersive AR apps.

The new A13 Bionic chip helps everything become more responsive. Messaging is quicker and easier, searching the web whilst using multiple apps have never been so quick.  With 20 % faster GPU to give you better graphic performance, perfect for interactive gameplay and a now more powerful neural engine to drive real time performance along with the live text learning-based feature.
